Ngarukuruwala

Ngarukuruwala, which means ‘we sing songs’, is a choir drawn from the Wangatunga Strong Women's Group at Wurrumiyanga on Bathurst Island. CDs can be purchased for $25, including postage and handling. Proceeds go towards supporting the women in future projects. 

B2M (Bathurst to Melville)

B2M is a Tiwi band who sing about issues facing young people such as drugs, alcohol and suicide. Their music is R‘n’B Pop with a traditional Tiwi twist, while their lyrics come from their life experiences and seeing first-hand the effects of drugs and alcohol on their communities. Educating young people through their music and encouraging them to make changes in their lives is what keeps this band going. According to lead vocalist Jeffrey ‘Yello’ Simon, ‘we’re giving the kids a voice through music.’
